  • Has Andy Chambers gone to see the Wizard?

Posted on March 31st, 2004 Rob No comments

    From a GW forum

I can confirm that Games Workshop and Andy Chambers have decided to part company. For reasons I'm sure you can appreciate, we never discuss employees personal details or situations, so I cant provide any more information than this. I'm going to lock this thread now, as it really is off-topic for this forum.

    Best regards,

Posted on March 31st, 2004 Rob No comments

Tired of the traditional Hack n' Slash standard game? Want to try something just a little bit different? Then keep you eye out for the download section for scenarios for MKD (Mage Knight Dungeons)! Our first scenario is a zip file with 2 pdf files in it. The first is the scenario "Necropolis Prisons" and the second is special tokens and map tiles you can use for the game! Can you save the prisoners before time runs out, or the other team gets them first?

  • Dungeon Deck Play Tested

Posted on March 23rd, 2004 Highland_Piper No comments

So here I have been making all these tiles and cards and I still had not tried them out.

I was not able to find anyone to play a game with me so I tried it out with the Solo Rules. All and all I must say I enjoyed it very much.

I took 11 dungeon cards and the tiles that represent them. I picked my starting position and drew my first card. I will not into major depths into the battles and magespawn I fought as this is not a battle report but a play testing report. on the following picture I labled the tiles as I drew them.

  • Tactics for using Confrontation Dwarves PART 4

    PART 4
Ok, here we go. We now know our strength and weaknesses. We know what we would like to deploy and what we want to avoid but how do make our choices. It is impossible to field it all at once so choices must be made. By now it should be clear that Dwarves have a large number of different troops to choose from. Their troops are almost the same and allow you to choose those with the flavour you like best.

    PART 3

This article was written by drimdalon the confrontation forum and he has given me permission to post it

Time to talk about the secrets of the forge and the power of Odnir and Uren.

First there are the thermo-priests. You have two different models with slightly different stats and an alternative profile that comes with the warriors of rag’na’rok pack . The first two are there for one thing only. Hitting and hitting hard. They are really lousy mages. They aren’t able to cast their own spells for sure but they are fearsome in close combat with their high force and steam powered weapons. One has a slightly lower force but causes more fear. The choice all depends on what army you are facing. Don’t be afraid to bring them in close combat and let loose the terrible power that is steam. And when they blow up they usually take some enemies with them.

  • Idiots Guide to Making Terrain #2: Trees

Posted on January 26th, 2004 Rob No comments

As I have mentioned in lesson
    1
of this series, terrain generally hovers between functional and attractive.

Today’s lesson starts with trees that are functional, easy and cheap. The latter
half of this article is definitely NOT for beginners, this is due more to the
tools needed rather than the skill required to do the job. If you are prepared
for this, the trees you can make will greatly exceed the quality and functionality
of the trees in Part 1.

Posted on January 16th, 2004 Rob No comments

    Weenies That Roll Well

That's the subject of our battle reports this week. Yes, you heard correctly, reports. This will actually be a dual report. You wanted variety, you got it. This week we find the Wolfen up against some sissy little Lions, and the Dirz up against some nasty looking Orcs.
