Battle Summary: Lions vs Goblins
Posted on September 9th, 2004 No commentsMy buddy Steve and my Cousin Chris have shown a lot of interest in learning how to play Confrontation recently. I invited them to my LGS on Saturday, August 28th to teach them how to play. Unfortunately, only my Cousin showed up on Saturday. Steve had got in a car accident the night before. He bruised his ribs but other than that he's ok. But obviously he was in no shape to play Confrontation at Millennium.

Battle Summary: Orcs vs Goblins
Posted on September 8th, 2004 No commentsHere's another Confrontation battle summary. The fight took place on Wednesday, August 25th at Millennium Games here in Rochester, NY. My opponent was Carter Brent, as usual.
To quickly summarize the evening…
I bought the Goblin Pirates box set at the Millennium Garage Sale a few weeks back. I had based about 100AP of Gobs, including a Gas-Blower and 3 Ball & Chains that I had picked up as well that afternoon. We played a 100AP King of the Hill scenario: Goblins VS Orcs.

Battle Summary: Lions vs Devourers
Posted on September 7th, 2004 No commentsAfter having played my first game of Confrontation last week, Carter Brent and I decided to make Wednesday night Confrontation night at our LGS. Our goal is to invite people to play and introduce Confrontation to a bunch of new folk. We heard that a guy named Dan was coming to learn how to play but he wasn't around at first so we decided to get started without him.
Carter and I started a 300AP game with Magicians to practice the Incantation rules. Carter brought his Devourers to do battle against my Lions. Migail the Selenite was my Magician choice while Carter used his newly acquired Velrys, Prince of the Impure; whom I can only describe as a magic wielding, half-elven samurai bad-ass.

First Battle Report: Lions vs Griffins
Posted on September 6th, 2004 No commentsI just got back from playing my very first game of Confrontation! It took place at my LGS here in Rochester, against The English Confrontation Forums very own Wrathmaur (i.e. Carter Brent).
I've been slowly assembling a Lion force for the past two months and was itching to see my fully painted pack of Guards in action. I asked that Wrath bring his Griffin to the battle so that I could have an opponent with a human face to learn against. (I'm still freaked out by his Devourers!)
We played a 200 point game with no magic.

Tactics for using Confrontation Dwarves PART 4
Posted on February 28th, 2004 No commentsPART 4
Ok, here we go. We now know our strength and weaknesses. We know what we would like to deploy and what we want to avoid but how do make our choices. It is impossible to field it all at once so choices must be made. By now it should be clear that Dwarves have a large number of different troops to choose from. Their troops are almost the same and allow you to choose those with the flavour you like best.

Tactics for using Confrontation Dwarves PART 3
Posted on February 26th, 2004 No commentsPART 3

Time to talk about the secrets of the forge and the power of Odnir and Uren.
First there are the thermo-priests. You have two different models with slightly different stats and an alternative profile that comes with the warriors of rag’na’rok pack . The first two are there for one thing only. Hitting and hitting hard. They are really lousy mages. They aren’t able to cast their own spells for sure but they are fearsome in close combat with their high force and steam powered weapons. One has a slightly lower force but causes more fear. The choice all depends on what army you are facing. Don’t be afraid to bring them in close combat and let loose the terrible power that is steam. And when they blow up they usually take some enemies with them.

I must state that this is purely my opinion based on my playing style and how I use the Dwarves of Tir-Na-Bor
I'll start by going over the general stats of Dwarfs

Intro Confrontation Battle Report #5
Posted on January 16th, 2004 No commentsWeenies That Roll Well
That's the subject of our battle reports this week. Yes, you heard correctly, reports. This will actually be a dual report. You wanted variety, you got it. This week we find the Wolfen up against some sissy little Lions, and the Dirz up against some nasty looking Orcs.

Confrontation: Learing to Play
Posted on January 8th, 2004 No commentsThese are some ideas that I've been tossing around in my head and I'm throwing them out to the board in general now to see if there's an interest. I guess one of the nice things is that were all still relatively new at this so were all in it together….In my mind there are a few levels to Confrontation, which interestingly enough correspond to the different rule books…
