Confrontation: Learing to Play
Posted on January 8th, 2004 No commentsThese are some ideas that I've been tossing around in my head and I'm throwing them out to the board in general now to see if there's an interest. I guess one of the nice things is that were all still relatively new at this so were all in it together….In my mind there are a few levels to Confrontation, which interestingly enough correspond to the different rule books…

Introductory Confrontation Battle Report #4
Posted on January 8th, 2004 No commentsOnce again we find the authors Dirz up against a Fear Causing Enemy.
This week they are up against the Undead, they have their own secret weapon: Pests of Flesh. The table was a long rectangle and the center piece was a section of castle walling with a gateway. A hill found its way to the left center of board mostly on the Dirz zone. Two forest were also found on the right side of the board, one near the castle and another in the Undeads zone. With 200pts, the undead brought the Gorgon, a Heavy Centaur, and a Specter with the intention of raising puppets to supplement the numbers and be a pain. Miniature basing tip
Posted on December 27th, 2003 No commentsThousands of you have written me, begging the question, "How did you make such a great base for your Golden Demon winning Elf??" When I woke up from my fruit-cake fueled nap, I quicked composed myself and wrote this little article:

Terrain Workshop: Ruined Watchtower
Posted on December 15th, 2003 No commentsThis is not really an extension of my "idiots guide" series, but the priciples learned in the first article are certainly applied here. Free free to review that one before attempting this project. Additionaly, this project uses the Hirst Arts blocks, a whole hobby in itself, which really disqualifies it from being a beginners terrain piece. Overall, however, the project was pretty easy, and only takes about 2 days to complete if you already have the blocks (due to some drying times).

Issaries Press Release
Concord, CA
August 15, 2003HeroQuest is Here!
Voted "Most Anticipated Roleplaying Game of 2003" on an RPG.net poll, HeroQuest has finally arrived. Really. We got our copies today, and the book should be showing up in game stores as soon as the distributors can get them there. Surely it is only coincidence that this coincides with the mysterious event that knocked the power systems of much of the eastern seaboard of North America off-line?

Intro Confrontation Battle Report 3
Posted on December 11th, 2003 No commentsThe stage is set for what could be a classic Teacher vs Apprentice showdown. Ive changed things up a little bit this week. Rather than continuing with the Dirz vs Wolfen as I have in the past two reports, this report is devoted strictly to those fuzzy, cuddly, loved by all Wolfen and just the Wolfen. We find Irix, now the Fury, confronting her old instructor Ophyr the Guardian. Irix set a trap by convincing Ophyr that this would be a hunting ritual to help foresee the future. Unfortunately for him, initially his future looks bleak. Will Ophyr and his archery focus subpack be able to overcome Irix and her own killing machines? Turns will tell.

Pirate CampaignHey folks. This is the first in a series of role-playing reports from a campaign I just started. Were playing in a fantasy setting as a crew of pirates.
Were using the Crushed Earth rules system (found in the Download section). This is probably only the 5th game thats been run on the current iteration of the rules, which will be updated due to problems arising during game play.
