Doctor Who Miniature Game
Posted on August 6th, 2007 No commentsI had the chance to play the free Doctor Who Miniature Game this weekend. It has been a while since a game has had me this excited!
The rules found here are free to download. You can play mass pitched battles but this game is more focused on the story line and the ability to recreate your favorite episodes!
The rules are quick and simple and I have a brief write up with pictures here. You can get Doctor Who miniatures from Black Tree Miniatures. You can also get some paper miniatures from here
If you have some free time I highly recommend this game!

Copyright 2007 TMP International, Inc.Two powerhouses of pop culture are collaborating, as McFarlane Toys announces a licensing agreement with Microsoft to produce action figures based on the hit video game series Halo®. Halo 3 is scheduled to arrive in stores later this year.
Halo follows the events of an inter-galactic war between the last surviving members of the human race and an advanced collection of alien races known as The Covenant. The first title in the series, Halo: Combat Evolved, was the flagship title for Microsoft's Xbox video game console when it was released in 2001. The game achieved both critical acclaim and financial success, selling more than 6 million copies worldwide.

WizKids Inc. announced an agreement with Bungie Studios and Microsoft to develop Halo™ ActionClix®, a collectable miniatures game (CMG). The Halo ActionClix CMG brings the Halo universe to the tabletop via the Clix miniatures game engine.
"Expanding the Halo universe into the Clix CMG is a perfect fit," said Brian Jarrard, director of Franchise and Community Affairs at Bungie Studios. "WizKids' commitment to authentic detail ensures that Halo ActionClix will appeal to collectors and CMG players alike."

(SEATTLE) WizKids Inc., a subsidiary of Topps and the creator of runaway hit games such as HeroClix® and Pirates of the Spanish Main, announced today that it will release a new collectable game called the Star Wars PocketModel trading card game (TCG). The agreement is an expansion of Topps' current licensing agreement with Lucas Licensing.
"The Topps Company and Lucas Licensing have enjoyed a successful 30-year licensing partnership and are proud to extend our license to include trading card games," said Ira Friedman, Topps vice president of Publishing and Licensing.

Looks like one lawsuit will cover them as well.Fifteen New Zealand-based actors who appeared in various incarnations throughout the course of the Lord of the Rings trilogy have filed suit against New Line Cinema, claiming some creative accounting on the studio's behalf has ripped them off of their cut in an estimated $100 million in profits from movie merchandise.
